State office building opens
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Tuesday to celebrate the completion of construction for the new state of Wisconsin Department of Children and Families Child Welfare Building at 635 N. 26th St., Milwaukee.

Groundbreaking ceremony held for Racine Dental project
A groundbreaking ceremony was held last week to celebrate the start of construction of a 60,000-square-foot Raince Dental facility at the southeast corner of Kinzie Avenue and Airline Road in Mt. Baseball facility planned in Racine County
Hitters Baseball is looking to build a new, 33,198 square foot facility just west of I-94 at 6-1/2 Mile Road in the Town of Raymond in Racine County. Read more in Caledonia Patch, a media partner of BizTimes Milwaukee.

Fourth condo sold at The Moderne

Adam Klann recently purchased a condominium at The Moderne in downtown Milwaukee for $244,000, according to state records. It is the fourth condo sale that has been closed at The Moderne, a 30-story residential high rise built by Barrett Visionary Development at 1141 N. Old World Third St. Klann purchased unit 2806 in the building, which has a total of 14 condos and 203 apartments. The other three condos that have been sold in the building were sold for $250,000, $675,000 and $1.06 million.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit to open in Pewaukee
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will open at 1273 W. Capitol Dr. in Pewaukee on Thursday, Aug. 29. Dickey’s Barbecue is a Dallas-based barbecue restaurant franchise with more than 300 locations in 40 states.
