Pleasant Prairie-based Ocenco Inc., a manufacturer of respiratory protection equipment and lighting systems for hostile and hazardous environments, plans to expand.
The village’s Plan Commission on June 8 approved Ocenco’s plans for a 35,182-square-foot addition, that will expand the size of its facility at 10225 82nd St. to 74,923 square feet. The addition is needed to accommodate the expansion of light assembly, inspection and warehousing functions for the company.
The company currently has 110 employees and following the expansion plans to increase its workforce to 143 employees.
The company manufactures three types of products: emergency escape breathing devices for mining and underwater applications, self-contained breathing apparatus for firefighting and rescue diving operations, and medical oxygen products used by medical professionals and emergency responders.
