Notable Women in Manufacturing: Rhonda Matschke

Class of 2024

Rhonda Matschke, executive vice president of human resources at Town of Genesee-based Generac, has helped drive significant growth for the company, according to colleagues.

“Rhonda’s partnership, experience and leadership has been an important part of Generac’s growth and thriving culture,” said Aaron Jagdfeld, CEO of Generac. “She was a driving force in helping us grow domestically and globally, and in our strategic direction from an industrial company to a leading energy technology company.”

When Matschke joined Generac in 2008, the company had $550 million in net sales with a workforce of 1,500 and three manufacturing plants. Today, the company has $4 billion in net sales with 8,600 employees across 18 manufacturing facilities globally, including five in Wisconsin.

Matschke has the ability to “seamlessly navigate the needs of the business and employees to always be aligned,” said Tim Hearden, executive vice president of operations at Generac.

Her leadership was instrumental in integrating more than 25 acquisitions over the past 15 years. She created a “Culture Club” during a period of heightened acquisition activity, providing a roadmap for cultural integration.
