Good Harvest Market Winter Health Fair Raises Over $2,000 for Lake Area Free Clinic
Good Harvest Market has donated $2,000 from the market’s Winter Health Fair to the Lake Area Free Clinic. Five percent of the total sales during the Winter Health Fair were donated to the clinic. Customers also had the opportunity to donate an additional five percent of their purchases to the clinic.
The Lake Area Free Clinic is located in Oconomowoc and opened in July 2001. Each year, the clinic helps many local families without health insurance with a variety of basic health care needs
Kohl’s helps out tornado stricken communities
Kohl’s Department Stores has made a $100,000 cash donation to the American Red Cross to assist with much needed emergency assistance in communities affected by the recent tornadoes and severe weather throughout Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee.
“Our hearts go out to the families and communities impacted by the devastation caused by the recent severe weather in parts of the Midwest and Southeast. Kohl’s wants these families to know that we are here to help,” said Julie Gardner, Kohl’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer. “We are honored to be in a position to provide financial assistance as well as volunteer service to our valued customers, associates and area residents. This disaster has been devastating and many are facing a long road ahead. Kohl’s is dedicated to providing support along the way as these resilient communities recover.”
In addition to a financial contribution, Kohl’s has encouraged its associates to volunteer in support of cleanup efforts through its Associates in Action volunteer program. In recognition of volunteer hours, Kohl’s will donate corporate grants to the nonprofit organizations being supported by Kohl’s associates.
