*Saturday, Sept. 12, Habitat for Humanity’s Milwaukee chapter will hold a volunteer orientation for individuals interested in giving their time to the organization. Attendees will learn about volunteer opportunities in construction, ReStores and youth programs. Additional volunteer opportunities are available specifically for young professionals. The orientation will run from 9 to 10 a.m. at Habitat for Humanity’s office, located at 3726 N. Booth Street in Milwaukee. Space is limited, and attendees should register in advance. *Thursday, Sept. 17, the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee will hold a workshop focused on what it takes to launch a nonprofit. The workshop, titled “Starting a Nonprofit: Legal Issues and Documents,” will educate attendees about necessary forms attached to nonprofit organizations and specific bylaws that need to be created. The workshop will be presented by Jacqueline Boynton, an attorney at Boynton Law Offices. The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to noon at the Nonprofit Center, located at 2819 W. Highland Boulevard in Milwaukee. Cost is $70. The Nonprofit Center encourages attendees to first attend a related start-up workshop, “To Be or Not to Be.” For more information, click here.

*Monday, Sept. 23, the African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin will present a workshop on “Time Management – Tips to Make You More Efficient.” The information session is the third part of a series titled “Money Smart for Small Business.” The workshop will coach attendees on how to improve time management and will equip them with time management strategies and practices. The session will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Town Bank, located at 140 S. 1st Street, Suite 100, in Milwaukee. For more information, click here.
