Nomad World Pub building in Milwaukee sold

Owner says bar will remain, has 30-year lease

Nomad World Pub

The East Side building where the Nomad World Pub resides in Milwaukee has been sold to a Chicago investor, but the owner of the bar said it will remain at its current location, likely for the next few decades.

The property at 1401-1403 E. Brady St. was sold recently by Faux Flat LLC, which is registered to Nomad owner Mike Eitel. Nomad is located at 1401 E. Brady St.

The buyer is Gnome Brady LLC, which is registered to Mike Pias, and lists an address in Chicago.

According to state records, the property fetched a price tag of $1.75 million. The property has an assessed value of $339,000, according to city records.

In an email, Eitel said the only thing that is changing at this location is the owner of the building, and that the world-traveler themed tavern, a popular local hangout to watch soccer, would remain.

“I have a lease for the next 30 years,” Eitel wrote. “Fear not, Nomad will stay on Brady for decades to come!”

Eitel has owned Nomad for more than 20 years, and in March 2017 opened a Nomad location in Madison.

Pias could not be immediately reached.
