The public is invited to hear the incoming Republican leaders of Wisconsin, including Governor-elect Scott Walker and legislative majority leaders Scott and Jeff Fitzgerald, at Milwaukee Press Club Newsmaker Luncheons in December.
On Tuesday, Dec. 7, Walker will make one final appearance at a Newsmaker Luncheon before he departs for the governor’s mansion in Madison. The event will take place 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub in downtown Milwaukee at 137 E. Wells St.
Scott and Jeff Fitzgerald, the incoming majority leaders in the Wisconsin State Legislature, will be the featured guests at the Milwaukee Press Club’s Newsmaker Luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 15. That event also will take place from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub.
Sen. Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) will become the Senate majority leader on Jan. 3. His brother, Jeff Fitzgerald (R-Horicon), will be the Assembly speaker. They will wield considerable power in framing the Republican legislative agenda in Madison.
Walker and the Fitzgerald brothers will be interviewed by a panel of professional journalists. BizTimes executive editor Steve Jagler will moderate the discussions.
The Milwaukee Press Club presents the Newsmaker Luncheons to shed light on issues of the day. The public is invited to attend the luncheons.
