Spirio is new CEO of Man Lift Manufacturing
Cudahy-based Man Lift Manufacturing Co., a manufacturer of mobile hydraulic equipment for specialty markets and hazardous environments, announced the appointment of Phil Sprio to the position of president and chief executive officer.
Sprio succeeds Jeff Bailey, who founded the company in 2000. Bailey will remain a director of the company and will continue his involvement in the design and engineering of custom lifts for Man Lift’s customers worldwide. Bailey also will serve as a member of the board of Man Lift’s parent company, Universal Manufacturing Co. of Lincoln, Neb.
Don Dunn, president and CEO of Universal Manufacturing Co., which acquired Man Lift in December, said, “We want to express our gratitude to Jeff for all of his achievements these past 10 years and we look forward to his continued contributions as he focuses on his true passion of engineering solutions for our customers. In Phil we have found the right person to lead Man Lift. Phil has a strong background in all of the areas that are critical to Man Lift’s future growth.”
Sprio said, “I am very grateful to Don and to Jeff for the opportunity to lead the great team we have at Man Lift. We will continue to engineer and build the most robust, highest quality mobile hydraulic products and remain focused Man Lift’s mission to enable our customers to be safer and more productive.”

Gliebe named Regal Beloit chairman
Regal Beloit Corp. announced that its board of directors has appointed Mark Gliebe, the company’s current president and chief executive officer and a member of the board, to serve as chairman of the board.
Gliebe succeeds Henry Knueppel, who has resigned from the position of chairman of the board pursuant to a previously announced plan. Knueppel will remain on the board.
The Beloit-based company manufactures electric motors, mechanical and electrical motion controls and power generation products serving markets throughout the world.

Lindquist joins Super Steel

Steven Lindquist has been hired as an ERP analyst at Super Steel LLC, a Milwaukee contract manufacturer.
