Lorena Sarbu, a high end women’s clothing boutique, will open a store at 310 E. Buffalo St. on Thursday.
Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, which is becoming the city’s main fashion and shopping district, is getting another store. Lorena Sarbu, a high end women’s clothing boutique, will in a 3,000-square-foot space at 310 E. Buffalo St. on Thursday. The store is located at the northeast corner of Buffalo and Broadway (the main shopping street in the Third Ward) and is across Broadway from the Anthropologie store.
The store, which also has a location in Beverly Hills, will feature clothes from designers from France, Italy, Romania and London.
Sarbu, the owner of the store, is a fashion designer and her husband, Tobey Crabel, is the owner of Milwaukee-based Crabel Capital Management LLC, also located on Buffalo Street in the Third Ward. The couple own homes in Milwaukee and Los Angeles and split time between the two cities, said spokeswoman Carol Lee.
"I think (Sarbu) has a special place in her heart for (Milwaukee), especially the Third Ward," she said.
