Phelan Development and WiRED Properties plan to build a 96-unit luxury apartment development on a 13-acre site at the northwest corner of Burleigh Street and Lilly Road in Brookfield.
The proposed $9.6 million development would consist of three, three-story buildings with underground parking. Only about a third of the site is developable, the rest is floodplain and wetlands.
The apartments will all be rented at market rate. The plans include 20 one-bedroom units, with 750 to 775 square feet of space; nine one bedroom units with a den, with 850 square feet of space; 58 two-bedroom units, with 1,100 square feet of space; and 9 three-bedroom or two-bedroom units with a den, with 1,500 square feet of space.
The project, called Lilly Meadows, is just the latest luxury apartment development proposed in Brookfield. Milwaukee-based Mandel Group plans to build a two-building, 60-unit luxury apartment development at Sendik’s Towne Centre, located southwest of Capitol Drive and Brookfield Road in Brookfield.
