Milwaukee Tool poised to acquire Empire Level

Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp., the Brookfield-based subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd., is in the process of acquiring Mukwonago-based Empire Level.

“Milwaukee Tool is currently in the process of conducting its due diligence to acquire Empire Level,” said Kharli Tyler Sr., brand marketing manager at Milwaukee Tool. “During this time, Empire Level will continue to run as a separate business apart from Milwaukee Tool.  Since we are in the middle of our due diligence, we cannot provide any further comments.”

In a statement to Industrial Supply magazine, Empire Level president Jenni Becker said the company has entered into a letter of intent to be acquired by Milwaukee Tool. The report also indicated that the Empire Level design and manufacturing facilities in Mukwonago will remain operational, and that Becker will serve as president of Empire Level, which will be a business unit of Milwaukee Tool, and report to Steve Richman, president of Milwaukee Tool, and that the acquisition is slated to close in late July.
