Meghan Shannon of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c.’s Milwaukee office has been elected to Susan G. Komen’s national board of directors.
The nonprofit organization funds breast cancer research and offers outreach and resources to individuals impacted by the disease.
Shannon is a shareholder in Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren’s business law practice and also is a certified public accountant. She has supported Susan G. Komen’s southeastern Wisconsin chapter for the past six years and has served as board president and treasurer for the organization. She was nominated to serve on the national board through Komen’s Affiliate Network.
Shannon completed an undergraduate degree in accounting at the University of Notre Dame and earned her law degree at the University of Wisconsin Law School.
In addition to Shannon, Susan G. Komen’s national board has welcomed Kaye Ceille, president of Zipcar; Janet Dunn Frantz, a breast cancer survivor and financial professional; Dan Glennon, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of SPANX; and Melissa Maxfield, senior vice president, Federal Government Affairs, for Comcast NBCUniversal.
