Menomonee Falls-based MD Design & Automation is moving all of its operations to a new facility it is purchasing in West Bend.
The company, which makes tools for industry, has been renting two units, totaling 10,000-square-feet of space in Menomonee Falls since 1996, and will be purchasing a 12,000-square-foot facility for its relocation, said Mike Daul, president and co-owner.
The facility, located north of highway NN on highway G, Daul said, also has roughly 15,000 square feet of expansion available. Daul said it will cost “roughly $1 million.”
The company is working with the city of West Bend and Washington County for incentives, Daul said.
MD Design & Automation currently employs 14 people, and is planning to expand at the new facility.
“Over the next three years, we’re looking at adding at least 5 positions,” said Daul. “And that’s being conservative.”
Daul said the company is also looking into changing the status of the company to make Mary Daul, Mike’s wife and company co-owner, the president and majority owner.
