The Mayfair Collection development in Wauwatosa will add a 6,228-square-foot Carhartt store, according to Chicago-based developer HSA Commercial Real Estate.

Carhartt sells premium work wear. Its Mayfair Collection store will be located north of the Old Navy store in the first phase of the development. The Carhartt store wil open this summer.
Carhartt currently operates 16 company-owned stores across the country. the Wauwatosa location will be the first Carhartt retail store in Wisconsin. The Wauwatosa Carhartt retail store will carry 369 styles of men’s, women’s and kids’ apparel, footwear and accessories.

“Milwaukee has always been the home of hard-working people,” said Jamie Millar, vice president of retail at Carhartt. “From the city’s rich history of brewing beer and rail industry transport to its production of motorcycles it’s easy to see why a Carhartt-owned retail store belongs here. We truly look forward to serving this industrious community.”

The Mayfair Collection is the mixed use development that HSA is building northeast of U.S. Highway 45 and Burleigh Street, at the site formerly occupied by Roundy’s and Kohl’s grocery store warehouses. The first phase of the Mayfair Collection opened last year and included Nordstrom Rack and Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH stores. The second phase, which is under construction, will include a Whole Foods store.

“The Mayfair Collection has already offered several retailers such as Nordstrom Rack and Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH a place to launch their brands in the state of Wisconsin, and we are very pleased that Carhartt has chosen to do the same in our shopping center,” said Tim Blum of HSA Commercial. “We believe that the quality of their products and the uniqueness of their brand and store design will be very well-received by our customers.”
