Xten’s vice president, founding member of company, passes away
Conrad Hauser, vice president of sales and a founding member of Xten Industries, a Kenosha-based plastics company, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 16.
Conrad Hauser’s father founded Xten in Chicago in 1940 as Hauser Plastics, Inc. The company began as a mold and die shop, and evolved into a plastics molding company. Matthew Davidson (Xten’s CEO) and William Renick, vice president-operations, bought into the company in 2000. They moved Xten from Chicago to Kenosha in 2002, purchasing another small plastics manufacturer in the park and consolidating the companies and work forces.
Hauser stayed on with the combined company and was responsible for relationships with the company’s key contacts.
He is survived by his wife Sandy, his son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Kristin, his grandsons, Cooper and Brady.
Hauser’s funeral will be today at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1123 Church Street, Glenview, Kenosha, followed by Mass at 11:30 am. Internment will be at All Saints Cemetery.
