Sikich LLP, a Naperville, Ill.-based accounting, advisory, investment banking, technology and managed services firm, has named Tom Luken, partner-in-charge of the Milwaukee office, chief operating officer.
Luken will oversee Sikich’s operations to promote client satisfaction along with process improvement and growth. He will also focus on enhancing the firm’s corporate culture across all offices.
Luken, who has more than 30 years of experience in professional services and public accounting, joined Sikich in August 2013 when Kolb+Co. merged with the firm. During his career at Kolb+Co., a Milwaukee-based public accounting and advisory firm, Luken served in several leadership positions, including president beginning in 2000. Prior to leading the company, Luken launched its tax practice in 1984 and managed to expand the practice to 25 employees.
Luken’s new leadership position at Sikich will be effective on Jan. 1.

As Luken transitions into his new position, Mark Sobczak, partner in the Milwaukee office’s audit practice, will take over as partner-in-charge of the Milwaukee office.
