Local companies cash in

Southeastern Wisconsin companies have secured $40.3 million of the contracts for the $295.2 million Lambeau Field renovation project. Dozens of local businesses are providing their expertise, materials or services to the project. Those companies include:

– Cross Management Services, Milwaukee – The company landed a $229,000 contract to serve as an independent monitor of the Lambeau project’s diversity mandate. Company president Carla Cross certifies that companies hired for the Lambeau project indeed are owned by minorities or women.

– Graef, Anhalt, Schloemer & Associates, Milwaukee – The company won a contract to serve as the civil site engineer and the associate structural engineer for the Lambeau project. A major aspect of the company’s work has been to create and connect a sanitary holding system to accommodate large volumes of flushes at halftime, and then dispatch the waste to be treated, said company vice president John Kissinger. The company won a contact of $74,913, according to the project’s manifest.

– Hammes Co. Sports & Entertainment, a division of Hammes Co., Brookfield – The company, which is the project coordinator for the Lambeau renovation, has collected on contracts valued at more than $10.2 million.

– Poblocki & Sons, West Allis – The company landed a $2.5 million contract to design and build all of the signage at the renovated stadium, from the exit signs to the main Lambeau and Packer signs. The 70-year-old firm also provided the signage for Miller Park and the Bradley Center. The company is using its trifecta of major league experience in Wisconsin to bid on the signage contract for Soldiers Field, the home of the Chicago Bears, which also is being renovated, said vice president and co-owner Mark Poblocki.

– Prism Technical Management & Marketing Services, Germantown – The company received a $200,000 contract to coordinate the Lambeau project’s diversity program. Prism president Randy Crump helps recruit companies owned by minorities and women and helps them win contracts for the project.

– Skyway, Milwaukee – The company won a $20,000 contract to paint the Packers Team Store. Skyway executive vice president Dereck McClendon intends to leverage his Lambeau participation to gain many more contracts.

– SynerComm, Brookfield – The company, which recently moved from New Berlin, received a $400,000 contract to provide the infrastructure to connect Lambeau Field to the Internet. The tech firm uses its Green Bay project to market itself and gain new clients every chance it gets, co-owner Kirk Hanratty said. "We’ve leveraged the Packers. That strikes a chord eight out of 10 times," he said.

– The Spancrete Group, Waukesha – The company, which has an office in Green Bay, received $4 million in contracts to provide concrete and structural components for Lambeau’s bleachers.
