Last call to get answers about Obamacare

Today is the final day BizTimes Media is accepting registrations from employers and human resource managers throughout southeastern Wisconsin to attend the “Understanding Health Care Reform” conference, which will take place on the morning of Friday, Sept. 13, at the new Milwaukee Marriott Downtown.

Several components of the new law, including enrollment in the health insurance exchanges, will go into effect Oct. 1.

The event will begin with a robust panel discussion featuring experts who will share updates about the Affordable Care Act and answer questions. The experts on the panel will include:

* Terri Lillesand, CPA and shareholder of Schenck SC in Sheboygan. Lillesand is advising employers about how to comply with Obamacare.
* Jeff Marquardt, vice president of regional sales at Arise Health Plan in Green Bay. Marquardt will shed light on how benefit plans will be constructed to maximize the impact of coverage.

The panel discussion will be moderated by BizTimes executive editor Steve Jagler, who won a national journalism award earlier this year for his reporting on the impact of the Affordable Care Act.

Breakout sessions will follow the panel discussion, allowing employers to ask specific questions about Obamacare.
