A 90-acre site in Genoa City, adjacent to the Country Thunder Music Festival grounds, was sold for $1.45 million, according to state records.

Odessa, Texas-based GAVLB LLC purchased the property, located at 40501 110th St. Its registered agent is Roger Gearhart, who was previously president of Graham Brothers Entertainment, which operated a nightclub.

The property, known as the Jortat farm, was sold by Deerfield, Illinois-based Jortat LLC. It has an assessed value of $89,600, according to Kenosha County records.

It is located adjacent to the Country Thunder grounds at 2305 Lance Drive in the Town of Randall (near Twin Lakes).

The Jortat farm property was annexed by the village of Genoa City in 2005. During Country Thunder, the land has been used for parking and camping by festival-goers.

Country Thunder also holds annual country music festivals in Arizona, Saskatchewan and Calgary.

The 2019 edition of Country Thunder Wisconsin will take place from July 18-21.
