Konecranes moves Oak Creek offices to West Allis

Hyvinkaa, Finland-based Konecranes has moved its Oak Creek offices and 105 employees to West Allis.

The West Allis location, at 11420 W. Theo Trecker Way, is near the Konecranes training institute and the offices of the company’s nuclear equipment and service division. The Oak Creek facility was located at 315 W. Forest Hill Ave.

Konecranes also has operations in New Berlin, Waukesha and Pleasant Prairie.

“We moved locations because the term of our lease was expiring, and this West Allis location presented itself,” said Todd Blair, Konecranes marketing and communications manager – region Americas. “We felt that it was a very nice facility and would offer more collaborative synergies with our nearby locations in New Berlin that house our nuclear equipment and service organization, modernizations and training institute. The size of this location also offered necessary, additional space for our parts organization as well as room for continued growth.”

Konecranes offers lifting services for a range of industries including manufacturing and process, shipyards, ports and terminals. The company occupied the Oak Creek facility for 38 years, and underwent a five-stage moving process beginning in September.
The company signed a seven-year lease on the new facility.

“We are very pleased with our new location and being able to bring our people together,” said Tom Sothard, senior vice president. “West Allis is a great fit for us and gives us room to grow in the future.”
