Kohl’s donates $150,000 toward Colorado flood relief

Kohl’s Department Stores, based in Menomonee Falls, has committed a $150,000 cash donation to the American Red Cross to boost its emergency services toward flood relief efforts throughout Colorado.

Along with its monetary support, Kohl’s is opening up opportunities for volunteer relief and cleanup work among its employees through its Associates in Action volunteer program.

“Our hearts go out to the families and communities that were so deeply impacted by the devastating floods and destruction in Colorado,” said Michelle Gass, chief customer officer at Kohl’s. “We are grateful to be in a position to provide financial assistance and volunteer support as these communities come together to repair and build.”

The Associates in Action program, facilitated through Kohl’s philanthropic arm known as Kohl’s Cares, aligns employee volunteer efforts with nonprofit organizations impacting children.

To thank volunteer associates for their contributions toward cleanup efforts in Colorado, Kohl’s plans to fund additional corporate grants to the nonprofits they’re directly assisting.
