Milwaukee County Supervisor Patricia Jursik invites the public to an open hearing about the proposed extension of the Lake Parkway (State Trunk Highway 794) to the southern part of Oak Creek.
“The Advisory and Technical Committees on the Lake Parkway Extension Study, along with Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission staff, have analyzed the extension of Lake Parkway to Highway 100 (Ryan Road) in Oak Creek. Our initial recommendations encompass a potential footprint, crossings, ramp treatments and other elements for the extension,” said Jursik, who chairs the Advisory Committee.  “We wish to receive feedback from the community on these initial recommendations.”
Residents may attend an informational meeting and public hearing on Wednesday, Feb. 29, at the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center, 901 15th Ave., at 6 p.m.
The public may submit comments regarding the Lake Parkway Extension Study until March 15.
