Jumpstart on the Weekend

*Friday, Jan. 4, the Milwaukee Bucks will challenge the Houston Rockets at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, 1001 N. 4th St. in Milwaukee. The game begins at 7:30 p.m. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.bmoharrisbradleycenter.com.

*Saturday, Jan. 5, Historic Milwaukee, Inc. (HMI) will present Skywaukee, a tour of the city through the skywalk system. Skywalk tours are held each Saturday starting at 1 p.m. and begin in front of the T.J. Maxx entrance in the Shops of Grand Avenue, located at 161 W. Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Milwaukee. The tours are free for HMI members, cost $10 for nonmembers, cost $2 for kids ages 7 to 17 and are free for kids age 6 and under. Each tour is wheelchair accessible. *Saturday, Jan. 5, through Sunday, Jan. 6, “The Wonderful World of Weddings” will be held at the Exposition Center at Wisconsin State Fair Park, 8200 W. Greenfield Ave. in Milwaukee. The wedding show will include bridal fashion shows, bridal resource exhibitors, a free wedding guide, prizes and drawings. Tickets cost $9 at the door. *Sunday, Jan. 6, Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum will host its weekly Café Sopra Mare featuring live music in the museum’s Great Hall. The café runs from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with music performances beginning at 10:30 a.m. This weekend’s entertainment will be provided by cellist Charles Asch. Coffee, tea and pastries will also be available for purchase from Bella’s Café. Admission costs $5. The museum is located at 2220 N. Terrace Ave. in Milwaukee.
