Johnson Financial Group appoints risk officer

Racine-based Johnson Financial Group announced the appointment of Todd Shaffer as chief risk officer for the company.

“Todd has more than 20 years experience in the audit and risk management functions,” said Thomas Bolger, president and chief executive Officer of Johnson Financial, the parent company of Johnson Bank. “His extensive knowledge will help us better protect the assets and reputation of our company.”

In his new role, Shaffer will oversee the company’s risk management policies and procedures and will collaborate with senior management to identify, evaluate, measure, manage and monitor the company’s risk. He will also oversee the implementation of the company’s risk assessment program.

A former associate of Johnson Financial Group, Shaffer re-joined Johnson Financial Group in 2011. He previously served as vice president and Audit Group manager with Marshall and Ilsley Corp., now BMO Harris Bank.
