What does your daily or weekly fitness regimen consist of?

20-30 minutes aerobic 3 times per week, Pilates, strength training, stretching 3 time per week

What fitness clubs do you belong to, if any?

Western Racquet Club

Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life?

Can maintain a higher energy level. Very rarely do I get sick. Minimal injury problems.

How does personal fitness affect your work life?

I can perform at a higher level due to the physical condition I am in. Rarely if ever do I miss work due to sickness.

Do you have a corporate health or wellness initiative?

Yes

What health/wellness organizations do you contract with, if any?

It has reduced our overall health care costs. It has made our employees more health conscious. We have included improving the health of our employees in our strategic plan.

How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization?

Both are very worthwhile. I have made personal fitness a priority in my life ever since I graduated from college. I get my workouts in early in the morning so that it does not interfere with the rest of the day. My philosophy is that even a bad workout is better than no workout at all. I have found that once you develop the habit of getting up early and working out it comes more naturally. With the corporate wellness initiatives start early and be patient. Not everyone is going to buy into the idea right away. It takes time for the culture of a company to change and adapt into one with a wellness conscience.
