This year, Waukesha-based Hydro-Thermal Corp. is celebrating 50 years as a company and 80 years of its patented fluid-heating technology.

Company president and chief executive officer Jim Zaiser credits the growth to continued service of its longstanding products, new applications for its technology and innovative new product lines.

“The combination of these three elements has tripled the size of the company over the last decade,” Zaiser said.

Hydro-Thermal manufacturers a line of fluid heating products that provide energy savings for clients in a variety of industries.

According to Zaiser, Hydro-Thermal has been able to provide its clients with expertise in specialty functions as they look to reduce their own operating costs.

“The advantage for us is that we become a complete solution,” Zaiser said. “We’re able to apply our technology in order to solve problems up and down stream in the business process.”

The company plans to release a new product toward the end of this year, Zaiser said.

“It’s another exciting year for us, as we work towards patenting that product globally and getting that product ready for release,” Zaiser said. “We’ve experienced a record year with exceptional growth. We plan to continue to work through our challenges and expand that growth in 2014 and beyond.”

The company has also earned the Governor’s Export Achievement Award and the Wisconsin Family Business of the Year Award, and continues to support other Wisconsin-based companies through extensive partnerships and working relationships.

Ninety-five percent of all products in the company’s product line are manufactured in-house. Parts that cannot be manufactured are sourced, when possible, within a 30-mile radius of the company.

“As a company, we’re dedicated to building a talented, sustainable, and competitive manufacturing industry in this state,” Zaiser said. “By working together with other Wisconsin-based companies, we are committing to this region as a manufacturing stronghold.”
