Honeywell subsidiary changes name

Brookfield-based Honeywell HomMed announced today that it has changed its corporate name to Honeywell Life Care Solutions.

The global leader in health management technologies and remote patient monitoring employs approximately 30 employees at its office in the Gateway West Commerce Center.

The name change is intended to reflect the company’s broader health care commitment and its expertise in driving the innovations needed to shape the future of health management through digital technology solutions.

“The new name – Honeywell Life Care Solutions – allows us to emphasize our wide-ranging business objective around changing the way health care is delivered between health care providers and patients, with the goal of increasing access, lowering costs and improving quality,” said John Bojanowski, president of Honeywell Life Care Solutions. “As a company with its roots in digital technology, we are committed to delivering breakthrough products and services that will help connect all the points in the care continuum.”

The new name is effective immediately and will be implemented across the company’s products and services throughout the calendar year of 2015.

Honeywell Life Care Solutions includes the company’s telehealth products and services, as well as the company’s Genesis family of products and its LifeStream software.

The company will also introduce this year Seymour, a digital health technology solution that provides a platform for the way patient data is aggregated, stored and shared between health care providers and patients, with the goal of helping people better understand and manage their data and, ultimately, their health.

“We know nine out of 10 consumers want to utilize technology to manage their health,” said Bojanowski.  “To that end, we will continue to provide them with the tools they need to better navigate their own care programs within and outside the walls of the health care system.”
