Health care company moving from Glendale to Milwaukee

MAAR Enterprises, a holding company that operates imaging and life science companies, is seeking a Milwaukee iStock_000007530244MediumEconomic Development Corp. loan to move its operation from Glendale to Milwaukee.

MAAR has purchased an office building at 1626 W. Fond du Lac Ave. and is planning to move affiliate operating companies Luma Healthcare, Inc., Medical Genetics Institute, S.C., and ELJA, Inc., to the 6,540-square-foot building.

The property was listed by MLG Commercial for $575,000.

MAAR has been in existence for 15 years, currently operating at 2311 W. Good Hope Road, according to loan documents. Luma Health Care provides imaging services and prenatal diagnosis. ELJA designs and develops software, hardware, medical devices, automation and diagnostic systems for use in a broad range of the life sciences.

MAAR is seeking a $331,000 loan from MEDC. MEDC’s Loan and Finance Committee will consider the loan request at its Tuesday meeting.
