What does your daily or weekly fitness regimen consist of?

Each morning I run 3 miles.  While I run I listen to Podcasts or audiobooks from audible.com.  Occasionally, I enjoy gaming and exercise on my GameBike. The Recumbent GameBike Pro from gamebike.org combined with a Viewsonic 42 LCD, PlayStaion 2 and Logitech surround sound speaker system. The LCD hangs from the ceiling in front of the bike. My favorite game is ATV 4. Playing ATV 4 on a recumbent bike with a steering wheel feels real. Not that I ever raced a dirt buggy off road. It really makes the time pass while exercising and it is fun.

What fitness clubs do you belong to, if any?

None.

Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life?

Being fit or feeling fit helps reduce the stress of daily life. Remaining fit allows me to participate in family activities such as biking, skiing and wake boarding.

How does personal fitness affect your work life?

Remaining fit helps me function better at work.

Do you have a corporate health or wellness initiative?

No

What health/wellness organizations do you contract with, if any?

None.

How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization?

We do not have a formal wellness program, although we do reimburse employees for half fitness club membership. We have informal efforts to encourage wellness. Our health benefits promote personal responsibility.

What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative?

Just do it.
