Menomonee Falls-based Graphics Systems Corp., a provider of 3D engineering solutions and services, has added David Vedder to its executive team as vice president of engineering and technology.
In his new position, he will leverage his 30 years of experience to help steer GSC’s rapid growth and to add additional understanding to the needs of the company’s customers.
“GSC has grown by 20 percent this year alone,” said president and chief executive officer Dave Kasinskas. “In order for us to meet demand and continue to add value to our customers, we need to add key personnel, like Vedder, who have proven success in leading world-class organizations. His experience makes him the perfect person to support our commitment to helping our customers improve their product development processes.”
Prior to GSC, Vedder spent 10 years at C.G. Bretting, a premier paper converting manufacturer based in Ashland, Wis. As director of engineering, he spearheaded the introduction of industry-leading new products, as well as the implementation of new ERP, CAD and PDM systems resulting in 40 percent productivity improvements.
Previously, Vedder served as vice president of global engineering at Tennant Corp., a Minneapolis-based manufacturer of indoor and outdoor environmental cleaning solutions and specialty floor coatings. He also served as senior director of engineering at Mercury Marine, a Fond du Lac-based manufacturer of outboard motors and inboard engines. He holds both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering mechanics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
“I’m very excited for this opportunity,” Vedder said. “GSC has a strong partner strategy and solution-based approach that I genuinely believe in. I’m looking forward to applying my experience and knowledge to existing customer improvement opportunities.”
