Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich will give a speech at Lakeland College in Sheboygan County next week, just two days before his new book is released.
Gingrich will deliver the ninth annual Kohler Distinguished Business Lecture on Wednesday, May 19, at Lakeland College’s main campus, which is located in northern Sheboygan County.
The event, which will be held in a 500-seat theater, is sold out and no tickets will be available for the general public, Lakeland spokesman David Gallianetti said.
Gingrich will speak for about 45 minutes, including a question and answer session with the audience, which will consist mostly of Lakeland students, faculty and other college supporters.
Gingrich’s new book entitled “To Save America: Stopping Obama’s Secular-Socialist Machine” will be released on May 17, two days before his appearance at Lakeland College.
Gingrich is a potential presidential candidate for 2012.
Gingrich’s appearance at Lakeland College is the ninth in a series made possible as part of a $1.5 million gift to the college from The Charlotte and Walter Kohler Charitable Trust.
