TIF Districts: The Village of Germantown has a total of 5 TIF districts: TIF’s 1, 2, 3 are within the Industrial Park bounded by Lannon, Maple, Mequon, & Freistadt Roads, TIF 4 is the Germantown Business Park bounded by Mequon, Donges Bay, & Fond du Lac Avenue, TIF 5 is Washington Square Mall a commercial project near the corner of Mequon Road & Pilgrim Road.
Redevelopment Aid: Germantown offers TIF districts and is willing to work with developers as need arises.

Time Schedule for Plan Approval: The typical amount of time from the submittal to final approval of a development plan is one month, best case scenario, or as long as two years, worst case scenario.
Building or Growth Moratoria: There are no building or growth moratoria in place for the village.
Environmental Issues: The Village advises developers to specifically adhere to storm water management & wetland preservation. There is a 25 foot wetland “no touch” set back.
Single Development Department: The Planning Department is single department that leads developer’s throughout the approval process.
