Fox News parent company donates for Republican campaigns

Learn more about:

News Corp., the parent company of Fox News, which markets itself as “fair and balanced,” donated $1 million recently to the Republican Governors Association (RGA), which has purchased $1 million in “attack ads” on behalf of Wisconsin Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott Walker, according to One Wisconsin Now, a liberal advocacy group.
The group said it expects the RGA to spend more than $2 million to support Walker’s campaign.
“Scott Walker has long supported big oil, big banks and Wall Street and big insurance and they are returning the favor,” said Scot Ross, One Wisconsin Now executive director. “Fox News is just the latest to join Scott Walker’s attacks against middle class working families in Wisconsin.”
The News Corp. donation was first reported this week by Bloomberg Businessweek.
