Foreclosure rates in Milwaukee area decrease

Foreclosure rates in the Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis area decreased for the month of March over the same period last year, according to newly released data from Irvine, Calif.-based CoreLogic.

The CoreLogic data reveals that the rate of Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis area foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans was 0.96 percent for the month of March 2015, a decrease of 0.17 percentage points compared to March of 2014 when the rate was 1.13 percent.

Foreclosure activity in Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis was lower than the national foreclosure rate, which was 1.39 percent for March 2015.

Also in Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis, the mortgage delinquency rate decreased. According to CoreLogic data for March 2015, 3.12 percent of mortgage loans were 90 days or more delinquent compared to 3.85 percent for the same period last year, representing a decrease of 0.73 percentage points.
