Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 will host its 7th Annual Downtown Employee Appreciation Week, Monday, July 30 through Friday, Aug. 3.
The week will include special events, office challenge games, scavenger hunts, morning workouts, lunchtime giveaways and exclusive discounts for nearly 82,000 downtown employees.
The week starts Monday, with a kick-off celebration at Red Arrow Park, 920 N. Water St. from 12 to 12:45 p.m. The ceremony includes office challenge games, Office Rock Star, a Milwaukee Bucks basketball shootout and free Cousin’s Subs box lunches for the first 1,000 employees.
Downtown activities such as a Downtown Volleyball Challenge, The World’s Largest Coffee Break, Downtown Battle of the Bands, Downtown’s Grandest Happy Hour, Trivia Tuesday, a Nite Cap event, and complimentary yoga instruction will also fill the week at various locations. Prizes will be awarded for challenge events.
In addition, lunchtime giveaways will be distributed daily on a first-come-first-serve basis at Red Arrow Park Giveaways will begin at 12 p.m. Downtown businesses will also offer discounts and complimentary items or services to downtown employees. Employees are encouraged to sport a paper clip to identify themself as a downtown worker.
