  • The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation awarded nearly $1.4 million in Community Development Investment Grants to six Milwaukee cities including  Burlington, which received $192,833, and Sheboygan, which received $250,000.
  • The Friends of the Monarch Trail was awarded two grants totaling $86,750 from the Fund for Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District. The grants will support restoration efforts and create an updated water runoff system at a migration stopping point for Monarch butterflies on 14-acres of county-owned land along Interstate 41.
  • Experimac of Brookfield donated two Core 2 Duo Apple Mac Books to Independence First, a Milwaukee-based nonprofit organization that offers programs and services to people with disabilities.
