WHAT HAS FUELED YOUR COMPANY’S GROWTH? An obvious factor in our company’s growth has been the increased use of technology as a medium for engaging in illegal activities. We have an unparalleled commitment to develop the most functional and sound computer equipment for the forensic acquisition and analysis of electronic information. We have a genuine commitment to the industry that goes well beyond the desire to sell a product or service. Many of our employees are pioneers in the computer forensic industry and continue to serve on organizations and boards that set the standards for the industry.

DO YOU PLAN ANY CHANGES IN YOUR COMPANY IN THE UPCOMING MONTHS? Digital Intelligence continues to grow to react to the ever increasing needs of our industry. We have recently purchased a 20,000-square-foot facility in New Berlin and added several employees to address the increasing demand for forensic casework. We are currently exploring adding personnel in various geographic locations, and continue to expand the products and services we offer. As with any technology related industry, our customers’ needs are dynamic. Therefore, any growth must be balanced with the need for agility.

WHO ARE THE BUSINESS PEOPLE, LOCALLY OR NATIONALLY, WHOM YOU ADMIRE? AND WHAT TRAITS DO THOSE PEOPLE EXHIBIT THAT MAKES YOU ADMIRE THEM? We admire companies that excel in the way in which they treat their customers and employees, and their desire to be the best in the industry. Business leaders such as Robert Stippich, Terry Anderson and George Dalton have demonstrated that a commitmen  to excellence not only in the products and services they sell, but also in their relationships, both employee and customer, is the foundation of any successful endeavor. We are also continuously impressed with the ability of local technology companies to thrive in our community that is “differently-paced” than either coast.

WHAT IS THE OUTLOOK FOR THE BUSINESS CONDITIONS OF YOUR INDUSTRY OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL MONTHS? We are just realizing the tip of the iceberg when it comes to computer forensics. With the continued convergence of technology into everyday living there is an ever increasing need to handle digital information and assess its meaning. Demand for training will continue to be strong. Equipment sales continue to increase as law enforcement and corporate security offices recognize the need to investigate crimes involving some form of digital evidence. From a legal standpoint, most cases today involve some type of information that is stored electronically so the need for everything from electronic discovery to full blown forensic analysis will also continue to grow at a fast pace.
