Yaskawa leases additional 30,000 square feet at Oakwood Crossing

Waukegan, Ill.-based Yaskawa Electric America Inc. will lease an additional 32,574 square feet of space at the Oakwood Crossings Business Center, located at the northwest corner of Howell Avenue and Oakwood Road in Oak Creek. The building is owned by Opus North Corp. With the expansion, Yaskawa will now occupy the entire 140,000-square-foot building. Earlier this year the company moved into 107,152 square feet of space in the building. Yaskawa Electric America provides industrial control and automation products to its customers. The companhy is the world’s largest manufacturer of ac drives and motion control products, including adjustable frequency drives, servo amplifiers, servomotors, machine controllers, and motion controllers.

Simon buys Prime Outlets

Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group Inc is buying Baltimore-based Prime Outlets Acquisition Co. for $700 million, adding 22 outlet malls to its portfolio, including the 400,000-square-foot Prime Outlets shopping center in Pleasant Prairie.
