Cubs renew pact to serve Old Style at Wrigley

Organizations:

Old Style beer will continue to be sold at Wrigley Field in 2012 and 2013, extending a tradition that dates back to 1950.
Pabst Brewing Co., which owns the Old Style brand, and the Chicago Cubs reached an agreement for Old Style and Old Style Light to continue to served at ballgames.
Old Style, which was founded by the former G. Heileman Brewing Co. in La Crosse, is brewed today on a contract basis for Pabst by MillerCoors LLC at breweries in Milwaukee, Trenton, Ohio, and Fort Worth, Texas.
"For more than six decades Cubs fans have been drinking Old Style beer at Wrigley Field and it has always been part of the game day experience at this legendary ballpark," said Daren Metropoulos, co-owner of Pabst Brewing Co. "It was important for us at Pabst Brewing Company to continue this long-standing tradition."
Pabst Brewing Co. is in the process of moving its headquarters from Woodridge, Ill., to Los Angeles.
