Community Memorial Hospital seeks nominations for Spirit of Caring Awards

Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls is now accepting nominations for the annual Spirit of Caring Awards. People are encouraged to submit nominations for consideration. Three separate awards — Community Service, Health Innovation and Contributions to the Medical Profession — recognize Community Memorial medical staff for their achievements.

The Spirit of Caring Award — Community Service was created to recognize members of Community Memorial Hospital medical staff who invest in their community through volunteer activities. “Community service” can include any type of volunteer activity by the doctor that is not directly health care related and benefits the community.

The Spirit of Caring Award — Health Innovation was created to recognize members of the Community Memorial Hospital medical staff who have led a medical innovation that has had an impact on community health.

Anyone may nominate a medical staff member for an award. Individuals nominated must be on the Community Memorial Hospital medical staff. Award recipients will be announced on Doctor’s Day in March 2010. They will also be recognized at the hospital’s Annual Medical Staff Service Award Reception in the fall and receive an award and a monetary donation to the charity of their choice in their name.

Award selection is determined by a committee consisting of representatives from Community Memorial Hospital and its medical staff. The committee reserves the right to not select recipients in each category each year. All nominations are eligible for consideration for three years.
