Colliers Barry to switch affiliation to Cassidy Turley

Organizations:

Milwaukee-based commercial real estate brokerage firm Colliers Barry will switch its affiliation from Boston-based Colliers International to an affiliation with St. Louis-based Cassidy Turley.
Colliers Barry will become a part of Cassidy Turley on April 15, and will be re-named Cassidy Turley Barry.
“Joining Cassidy Turley represents a huge step forward for Colliers Barry,” said James T. Barry III, president of Colliers Barry. “We will be able to expand and broaden our service offerings to both investors and users. In an increasingly competitive global marketplace, we are aligning ourselves with a market leading company that shares a vision of delivering our clients expanded market insight and cutting edge real estate services.”
Colliers Barry, formerly known as the James T. Barry Company, was affiliated with Colliers International for 25 years.
A group of Colliers International members recently broke off from Colliers to form Cassidy Turley. The Cassidy Turley brand was rolled out on March 1 and the company has attracted some large former affiliates of NAI and Grubb & Ellis, which are other major commercial real estate broker affiliations.
Although it is brand new, Cassidy Turley is already one of the largest commercial real estate services providers in the U.S., with 420 million square feet of managed space in 57 locations and $16 billion in completed transactions for 2008.
“Welcoming Colliers Barry to Cassidy Turley further endorses our vision and strategy,” said Mark E. Burkhart, CEO of Cassidy Turley. “We are committed to providing the highest level of service to our clients and will continue to strategically expand our service offerings.”
The new affiliation will not result in major changes for Colliers Barry in Milwaukee, Barry said.
“It really doesn’t change our Milwaukee operation,” he said.
