The Clarke Square Pick ‘n Save store on Milwaukee’s south side will close by the end of the summer.

“After careful consideration of the long-term financial performance of the Clarke Square store, our efforts did not bring about the results needed to meet our business goals and objectives,” said James Hyland, Roundy’s spokesman.

The company will work with employees to place them in other Pick ‘n Save locations, Hyland said.

The store opened in January 1997. The building is owned by NDC LLC, which is registered to Mark Lampe, of Oak Creek.
