Chinooks to host All-Star Game

College baseball’s best players will take part in the 2014 Northwoods League All-Star Game to be hosted by the Lakeshore Chinooks in Mequon on Tuesday, July 22.

The game will be presented by Fiduciary Management Inc. at Kapco Park on the campus of Concordia University.

The All-Star festivities will kick-off with the All-Star Banquet on Monday, July 21, at the Ozaukee County Fair Grounds in the Columbia St. Mary’s Center. The featured speaker will be the Commissioner of Baseball, Allan H. “Bud” Selig. The teams will be introduced by the honorary managers – Jim Gantner for the North Team and Robin Yount for the South Team.

“It’s an honor to be able to host the Northwoods League All-Star Game with all the tremendous talent on the field,” said Jim Kacmarcik, president of the Lakeshore Chinooks. “In addition, to be able to have Milwaukee baseball icons, Commissioner Selig, Robin Yount and Jim Gantner involved in the festivities is really a blessing and a treat for the fans.”

Dick Radatz, president of the Northwoods League, said, “We’re excited to display our top talent in our newest facility among so many distinguished guests.”
