The chicken-focused fast food chain entered the state with its Regency Mall location in Racine in 1981 (which closed in January) and also has standalone locations in Brookfield, Madison and Greendale. The company plans to open two more restaurants a year across the state. Chick-fil-A is also planning a restaurant on Highway 100 in West Allis and a second Brookfield location.

The Oak Creek restaurant, located in Drexel Town Square at 150 W. Town Square Way, is operated by franchisee Danica Anderson. The Mount Pleasant restaurant, located at 5201 Washington Ave., is operated by franchisee Brian Goode.

Between them, the restaurants have created 160 new jobs.

To celebrate the openings, Chick-fil-A offered food giveaways and its “First 100” promotion, which offers the first 100 adults through the door free food for a year.

“My team members and I can’t wait to welcome our guests,” Anderson said. “We’re not just in the chicken business—we’re in the people business. Our goal is to provide a remarkable experience for every customer, ever time, by serving food our guests can truly feel good about eating, providing sincere hospitality and being a good neighbor in the Oak Creek community.”

“My team and I are excited to share Racine’s first standalone restaurant with the community,” Goode said. “Chick-fil-A has served the Racine community since 1981. Our new standalone restaurant on Washington Avenue will serve the same fresh, quality food the Racine community recognizes, and also offer double drive-thru lanes and an indoor playground for local families to enjoy.”
