What has fueled your company’s growth? “Our growth has been organic as a result of our approach to customer relationships and quality of work. We have also added new products and expertise to respond to customer requests and changing market technology. Examples would be our mobile fiber slicing trailer, distributed antenna systems for improved cell signal reception, leading edge data network components and IP security products. Last, the growth and success of our electrical business, founded in 2012, has been outstanding.”
What is the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth? “The biggest challenge we have is talent acquisition. We had a number of monthly job openings in the last quarter and expect the trend to continue into Q3. We are searching for the right candidates for beginning level and experienced professional positions.”
Do you plan to make any changes in your company in the coming months? “Our biggest change will be our move to a larger facility in Brookfield, in late fall of this year.”
Who are the business people, locally or nationally, whom you admire? And what traits do those people exhibit that make you admire them? “John Howman, president of Allied Consulting and a member of our board of directors, continually challenges my thinking and brings ideas for new ways of doing business. Scott Walker for his courage to shake things up and have people examine the status quo.”
What is the outlook for the business conditions of your industry over the next several months? “High growth due to backlog and an increase in construction and new technology expenditures that have become necessary.”
What is your company’s most important growth strategy right now? “Acquisition of a similar or complementary company.”
