Nelson Schmidt revitalizes Wisconsin Avenue building

A café that will open soon in the first floor of Nelson Schmidt Inc. office building could become a new destination for people who work in downtown Milwaukee. The café will be the latest improvement that the firm has made to the building at 600 E. Wisconsin Ave.

833 East site sold

An affiliate of Wauwatosa-based real estate development firm Irgens recently purchased the downtown Milwaukee site where it plans to build a new 17-story office tower. The Irgens affiliate purchased a 63-year-old parking structure at 833 E. Michigan St. from U.S. Bank for $5.4 million, according to documents filed with the Milwaukee County Register of Deeds office.
