Downtown Marriott
Major demolition work began recently for the $54 million downtown Milwaukee Marriott hotel project. The 200-room, nine-story hotel will be built around the Johnson Bank building, located southwest of Wisconsin Avenue and Milwaukee Street.
New construction
Brookfield-based Briohn Building Corp. has been contracted to perform the design/build construction of an 18,000-square-foot addition for Fabricated Metal Products Inc. at 3240 East Van Norman Ave., Cudahy. Briohn has also completed the design and construction of two clean rooms for Medovations, Inc., a medical device manufacturing company located at 102 E. Keefe Ave in Milwaukee, and construction of a 1,400-square-foot specialty cupcake store, Gigi's Cupcakes, at One Mayfair Place in Wauwatosa.
