Office market ends year with a thud

The metro Milwaukee office real estate market had a tough fourth quarter to end 2012, with negative absorption of 128,000 square feet and an increase in the vacancy rate from 20.5 percent in the third quarter to 20.9 percent, according to the latest report from Xceligent and the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin (CARW).

Apartments planned for warehouse along Park East corridor

Impact Seven Inc. plans to convert the warehouse building at 1300 N. 4th St. in downtown Milwaukee into a 70-unit apartment building.
The four-story, 99,875-square-foot building was built in 1907 and is located just north of the Park East corridor.

Lowlands Group, Alterra could anchor Mequon Town Center development

Developers are negotiating with Milwaukee-based Lowlands Group and Atlerra Coffee Roasters to anchor a mixed-use development planned northwest of Mequon and Cedarburg roads in the Mequon Town Center district.

Zilber to develop office building for ABB at UWM Innovation Campus

The UWM Real Estate Foundation announced today that Milwaukee-based Zilber Property Group plans to develop a three-story, 95,000-square-foot class A office building for ABB Inc. at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Innovation Campus that the foundation is developing northeast of U.S. Highway 45 and Watertown Plank Road in Wauwatosa.
