Scheibel Halaska, a Milwaukee-based public relations company, announced today it has changed its name to Trefoil Group.

Appleton Papers to merge with Dallas firm

Appleton Papers Inc. and Hicks Acquisition Company II Inc. today announced a definitive agreement under which Appleton will engage in a business combination with Hicks in a transaction valued at $675 million.

Art Museum plans $25 million upgrade to War Memorial Center

The Milwaukee Art Museum is pushing for a $25 million project to improve the War Memorial Center. The Art Museum occupies about 70 percent of the War Memorial Center buildings, which are adjacent to the winged Santiago Calatrava-designed addition to the Art Museum.

Mandel plans $27 million Whitefish Bay apartment development

Milwaukee-based Mandel Group Inc. plans to build a three-building, 103 unit luxury apartment development on parking lots south of East Beaumont Avenue between North Santa Monica Boulevard and North Consaul Place in Whitefish Bay.

Brookfield-based Briohn Building Corp. has been contracted to complete the design and construction of a 22,500-square-foot office remodeling project throughout three existing floors for Medovations Inc., a medical device manufacturing company located at 102 E. Keefe Ave. in Milwaukee.
