Midwest Economy Index declines

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s Midwest Economy Index declined in July to -0.10, down from +0.22 in June. This is the first time in nine months the index, which indicates Midwest growth, has dipped to below average.

Aurora Health Care forms partnership with Tennessee company

Johnson Controls signs pact to provide batteries for hybrids

Glendale-based Johnson Controls Inc. has signed an agreement to provide advanced Lithium-Ion battery packs for hybrid vehicles to Boston-based XL Hybrids Inc., developer of a low-cost hybrid electric powertrain designed for commercial fleet use.

Harley convenes dealer meeting in Milwaukee

Hartland manufacturer to move to new facility in Pabst Farms

Hartland-based Lake Country Manufacturing plans to move build an 81,295-square-foot plant at 950 Blue Ribbon Circle North in the Pabst Farms development in Oconomowoc. The company plans to complete the project in time to move to Oconomowoc in the first quarter of 2014, relocating from its current location at 510 Cardinal Lane in Hartland.

Spectrum Brands to expand hearing aid battery production

Spectrum Brands Holdings Inc., which is moving its headquarters from Madison to nearby Middleton, announced today its Rayovac global battery division will make another multi-million dollar investment over the next year in research and development in its manufacturing plants to meet growing demand for its hearing aid batteries.
